Privacy policy

How Woodwhiz Toys collects, uses and protects your personal information (Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023).

1. What we collect

Account: name, email and profile photo (from Google sign-in or your email sign-up).

For orders: mobile number, delivery addresses, what you ordered, payment status and invoices.

Payments are handled by Razorpay. We never see or store your card or UPI details.

Optional: your child's first name and birth month (only if you add them, for birthday toy ideas), and your message choices.

Messages you send us through the contact form, email or WhatsApp.

Only if you tap Accept on the cookie banner: visit statistics (pages visited, device type, purchases) through Google Analytics, to improve the shop. No ads.

2. Why we use it

To take payment, pack, ship and track your order, and send order emails.

To make GST invoices and keep the records the law requires.

To help you when you contact us, and for the profile reward (one free delivery).

Offers and birthday ideas only if you switch them on. They are off by default, and you can switch them off any time in your profile.

3. Who we share it with

Only what is needed, with: Razorpay (payment), our courier (name, phone and address for delivery), Google Firebase and Cloudflare (secure hosting and data storage), Google Workspace (email), Google Analytics (only with your consent) and Google Customer Reviews (only if you agree in Google's box after an order).

We never sell your data.

4. How long we keep it

Your account stays until you delete it. Order and invoice records are kept as long as tax law requires (at least 8 years), even after an account is deleted.

5. Your choices and rights

You can see and change your details in your profile, switch messages on or off, and delete your account (Profile → Delete account). You can also ask us for a copy of your data or to correct it.

6. Children

Accounts and orders are for adults (18+). Parents may add a child's first name and birth month. This is optional and used only for birthday toy ideas, if switched on.

7. Cookies and browser storage

We use the browser's storage to keep you signed in, remember your cart, a coupon from a link and your cookie choice.

Google Analytics runs only after you tap Accept on the cookie banner. You can change your choice any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.

8. Security

Data is sent over secure connections (HTTPS) and stored with access limited to our team. Orders and payments are checked on our server.
